YAY!!! I got my letter of issuance today and can pick up my CCDW license on or around the 15th. Thanks to all of you and everyone else both past and present who have stood up for the 2A. It feels good to go on record for my right to bear arms.

That's not too bad. Last I'd heard it was taking quite a bit longer than that. Congrats on the new permit. Once you pick it up make sure you are always armed everywhere it is legal for you to be armed.

Awesome, a couple neighbors on our street took more like 120 days! BTW call the SO - odds are good since you got your "flash pack" the SO has your permit already (no need to wait to the 15th IOW)

It's better now because the last Legislature gave the Sate Police 60 days to process a CCL. As far as I know there is no "teeth" here if they don't but they are an agency that enforces laws so I think they are bound by this one.

When the last time you saw a State/Federal employee bust their fanny to get ANYTHING done quickly? Congrats on your progress toward being granted an "inalienable right".

My CCL instructor said they had hired extra help to meet the 60 day "requirement" but I wasn't holding my breath for it to happen. I'd had a pretty bad day up until the point I opened the mailbox and found my flash pack waiting for me. Pretty awesome. It felt like Christmas came early for me. Now to find the right holster for my LC9 with Lasermax...

You were right Aceoky! It was ready for pick up! I called ahead, got the good news, ran down to the SO during lunch, and I came back CC'ing. :)

    Awesome Bob2.0 !
I believe they mail the flash pack to you and permit to SO same time so most times when you get the FP they have the CDWL in hand!

I am one of those "state employees" just not one that does the CCL's. We do have to bust out things pretty fast especially my department, Finance has a tax calendar to follow.
