    Adams County, Colorado

ADCO called this morning, and my renewal is in and they are mailing it out today.
If it takes 2 days to hit my doorstep, it will be 6 weeks to the day from turn in of application.
Even the lady was surprised that it came back so quick.

Congrats! Good to hear that ADCO is getting back on track. I have another three years until I have to renew...hopefully the process will get even faster.

Down here in El Paso they are very back-logged. Evidently everyone, their brother, sisters, cousin, aunt and uncles are getting their permits.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.....there is a general rise across the country in requests for CCLs (which WE know is a good thing ), but most Sheriff/Police Depts. have to fight tooth and nail for funding increases......the bottleneck in the system is having enough human staff to process new requests/renewals.

Often it comes down to greed. The longer they don't hire more help the more they have to spend on other things (IMO)

Good to hear. I live in Adams CO and my wife submitted her application a few weeks ago. Hopefully it won't take as long as mine did, which was 82 days.

Yep. I hate to admit it, but you are probably correct. All LE agencies are struggling to keep their funding thanks to moronic politicians who think it is more important to give our tax dollars to those who won't work instead of protecting those of us who do.

Broomtown was 80 days. I think it could have been longer, but I called, and next day they said it was ready.

Six weeks for a renewal?? Ridiculous!!!!! My last renewal took 7 days and that was only because a new BG check was done.
