how easy it was to get my LTCF.

hello all. yesterday i finally got my license to carry firearms in the state of PA. i was pretty much aware of the process but i didn't think it would be so quick. i drove about 30 minutes to the cambria county courthouse, 5 minutes filling out the application and getting my picture taken and waited about 10 minutes before i had it in hand and was walking out. it really needs to be this easy for everyone to get a ccw no matter what state, county or whatever you live in. only bad part happened after i left. got a ticket for a meter violation, 5 buck but it was still a great day!

    Congrats on your new permit!
It should (and could) be this easy in all '57' states.

First off congrats on getting your permit!!

Second you better be careful what you admit on line remember rule #10 on the rule pages says don't admit doing something illegal......

Third some might say your not responsible enough to have a permit if you can't park your car legally.......

Forget the second and third just play'n, you would have to read the other posts to get it.

Congrats on your permit... Carry On!!!

Very good. Short of not requiring a license at all (like Vermont), Indiana is now about as close to that as you can get. With our lifetime permits, an 18 year-old can apply one time, pay one time, and the license he gets is good for the rest of his life. I wish we would of had this when I was 18.......

    Congratulations.

Just imagine if you had to do that (and more) for every inalienable right you wanted to be able to exercise freely.

How many of us have shared a story about being pulled over? I think you need to relax the hall-monitoring just a tad.

Drive 30min....spend 5min filling out the paperwork and getting your picture taken.....shortly after you have your new permit to vote and are on your way.

    I like it.

    The parking ticket I believe.

Filling out the application there, getting your photo taken, and walking out with a freshly minted LTCF within minutes.......nope.

Congrats on the license and speedy procedure, just not fast enough for the meter maid.
Btw, wish my permit only cost $5.
