Doctor and wife now on board - YES!

Day by day - progress is being made:

An MD we know has always been pro 2A but never owned a handgun. Recently he and his wife realized it was high time, so they bought guns and got their CCL's. Hooray for our side, eh?

What happened when they took their range test was that the wife completely shot the center out of the target. (No surprise there for us gals).

When the RO came to inspect her target he said he was going to have to flunk her. She was aghast. He told her that all of her bullets went into the middle of the big silhouette and she was supposed to aim for the little one in the top corner! (How he kept a straight face no one knows......?!?)

Of course he quickly congratulated he on an excellent job of shooting. Now said doctor and wife have been invited to join our shooting club so they can come out and keep in practice.

Had one that complained when all the shots went into the same hole - "Now how do I know you didn't put 15 of your shots in the dirt?"

We don't know her but he is pretty cool so she likely is also. (I know, not necessarily..........but a woman who can shoot like that has to be OK)

I wore an NRA shirt to a doctor appointment. My doctor took one look at my shirt, pointed at it and said "I like that, they are trying to take our rights away and it pi$$es me off". I like my doctor.

Gotta love that. A dead-eye newbie and a SNL instructor. A good day, all the way around.

Glad to see two new folks waking up to smell the coffee. Always a good thing.

My regular doc ( a real stiff) is away and I needed some pre-op tests run last week, so they scheduled me to see a PA. Turns out the PA is just a tad younger than me, and pretty much all business until we started talking about the blood test that was required. I asked about a test for lead, "since I'm a shooter and a reloader." He had his hand on the door when I mentioned that; he stopped in his tracks, turned around and shook my hand. We spent the next 40 minutes talking about shooting stuff... and once I have full mobility back, I'm introducing him to Tuesday Night Steel at Rio Salado. I call that a win!

Hey man, when you spend all your time at the range watching OTHER people shoot, you'd be surprised at the kinda shooters you see.

I woulda made the same comment, but in jest.

Yeah - the group of old guys in our sportsman's club "pistol team" should be named, "Geezers With Guns".............

BUT - from the time the pistol group was started, when they shot the frames and dirt more often than the paper target, they have improved immensely. Now they are even hitting swinging metal targets most of the time. With enough practice even Geezers can learn - most of them anyway.
