Interesting. I guess I never thought of carrying a gun like that for CCW. It would be a handful I can tell you that. What is the percentage for a 1 hit stop off one of those? :)

It will be an issue in the court room, it always is. I'm in the line of thought, why drive a tack with a sledge hammer?

Sixto, I don't know that your statement really applies. The percentage of one shot stops with any handgun isn't high. The beloved .45 ACP or the .32 ACP have one thing in common, they are under powered for stopping the human animal very quickly.

That said, I don't know why you would choose a .50 caliber handgun. There are many arguments here that show potential problems, and I still doubt it would be a guranteed 1 shot stop weapon. (Although it would have some advantage I suppose.)

Of course, here in Oklahoma, it is a moot point. The law dictates that it isn't acceptable.

the 45 ACP and 32 ACP have another thing in common: they are both Automatic Colt Pistol cartridges ;)

Mr. White, I would love to try one... with a nice long barrel. However, I don't know that a .500 snubbie would be much fun. Of course, if someone shows up at the club with one I'll make 'er go bang a few times.
