    Wow... that's mighty quick!
Non-resident? Did they not bother sending letters to the "references"?

Yes Non-Resident, I live in Upstate NY.
None of my references had mentioned it. I don't think they could have send them out and received them back that fast.

Yes NH is simple and to answer some one's question the PD will send out letters to your references pretty much the day they get the app. and ask for them to send it back within 5 days. My wife and I got a call less than a week after we turned in our apps saying they were ready.

Maybe I will send one in to NY and see if I get it back that quick. Oh never mind NY does not give out non resident licenses and honors no other states CCL either.

Thanks for the replies. It is embarrassing to live in NYS these days. We have gone from bad to worse. I will visit soon and spend as well.

How can 2 states bordering each other be so different? I'm going to enjoy telling my brother in law in MA. He has been running the gauntlet for quite some time now.
A wise man once said: "Bugout bag?..What's that? Is that all the junk you sidewalk commandos plan on humping when the SHTF...I'll grab a Nylon 66, a box of 22s and a poncho liner and in less than a week I will have all of your stuff and everything else that I need for the duration."

A few years ago I applied for my NH out of state permit just before the price change. It took a couple months longer due to the large amount of applications but I got it for the original price. I also got it in plenty of time for a trip to Georgia. From my experience they try to treat people right.
