Carhartt style pants with bigger back pocket

    Hey everyone.

Back pocket carry seems to be what I am most comfortable with. I almost always where Carhatt pants. I just picked up an airweight j-frame though for back pocket carry and the butt of the gun sticks up out of the rear pocket just a little. Can anyone recommend a similar style pant that has deeper back pockets?

I cannot recommend a better pair of pants, but I do have the number of a good chiropractor....

Usually I am sitting in some sort of soft chair so that it doesn't make any difference. If I have to sit for an extended time I slip it in my front pocket

It's hard to tell but these look like they might have deeper back pockets. I have always heard they are really nice pants too. The little flap over the back pocket would conceal the contents too

Have you tried the Dickies carpenter type pants? BTW, the Pointer brand overalls have huge pockets and actually made in USA

My 442 fits nicely in the front pocket of my Carhartts. A good pocket holster hides the outline, I can comfortably sit and drive, and I have the tactical advantage of already having a grip on the gun nearly at all times.

I have a problem with sitting on my gun. No back pocket carry.

Mine are really deep. A little over 6 inches. This is the review that got me to give them a try

I most generally wear Carhartts or Dickies carpenter jeans. They're cheap and comfortable. I buy 'em big for IWB carry. Front pockets are big enough for a j frame. Knife and phone in the pencil pockets on the side.

I really can't ask for better jeans for carry. If it's a dressier occasion, I'll wear Levis (I know, what a redneck). Levis are pretty much only good for OWB carry.

I just don't like the idea of sitting on a pistol.

Seamstress. Tell a seamstress you need deeper pockets for work tools. Make both back pockets deep so no one is the wiser.

5.11s used to have VERY deep back pockets, not sure about current styles.

I wonder if there has ever been a pant design that incorporated a pocket holster right where the hand falls. Not the various concealed carry pants, but one that just gives you a convenient and semi secure place to put your gun. Kinda like a purpose built sewn in pocket to mimic a drop leg thigh holster, either inside (like a regular pocket) or outside (like a cargo pocket). Maybe with a simple cloth snap loop like EMT pants that hold scissors in place. Hmmm... I think I have some sewing work to do...
