    First time CCing

Today was no different than any other, with one exception. I used my privilege to carry my gun cc.

I went to work and then to church for dinner and Bible Study. I didn't feel any different, didn't change the way I worked, walked or behaved.

The only thing that changed was taking care of personal business at work and church took a little more time and finesse.

I didn't feel uncomfortable or uneasy.

Congrats. Virginia is a little safer.
I busted a mirror and got seven years bad luck, but my lawyer thinks he can get me five.

You do know you are suppose to go to walmart first trip carrying right ? (It is the running joke with people who ccw if you can carry there you can carry anywhere ) .. My first was a ankle gun couch shopping then the grocery .

It helps I think that I had a small gun and a good holster

I won't have to go to Wally World until this weekend... Thought it was more important to begin cc'ing now than to wait for a specific place.

Usually!!! I don't get nervous over too many things. Just ask my husband, gwarden.

I have been around guns my whole life and my husband has carried for years.

Privilege vs Right. Hm. Wish we didn't have to toy with words, here, given what the 2A is all about.

VA is an open-carry state, yes? Now, there's a good way to exercise the free and unencumbered right. If one's willing. It's not for everyone.

Nice to be capable of actually surviving a violent encounter, as compared to being unarmed.

I did a lot of homework when it came to the best holster for the way I wanted to carry. I don't begin anything important without thoroughly investigating all options.

Not all of us can do the Wally Walk. I will not go to Wally World for anything, ever. I won't even drive through their parking lot! But I've been carrying for so long now that I can't even remember what it was like "at first".

I just know that I feel naked without a gun on my body, and thus it has been for several many years now. If I have to go to the US post office or other places where guns are banned by law, THAT is when I feel awkward, and off balance. It's miserable.

Imho, I believe that it is my right because of the 2a, but a privilege because God blessed me with being born in a country that gives me the right.
