    Didn't know I'd feel Naked!!!!

    How come nobody told me????!!!!???!!!

It's was kind of funny really. After wearing my gun all day for the first time (Just got my permit yesterday), I got home from work and changed into some jeans... I didn't put my gun back on right away. I walked out into the kitchen, and it felt really wrong. I told my wife, I suddenly felt completely naked because I didn't have my holster tucked in my waist....

Anybody else ever feel that way after carrying all day, or is it just a newbie thing?

You are thinking about it too much.

Couple more days, and you'll have a routine set up.

The early days of carry we are all pretty much hyper aware of the rig's presence - over time that decreases but I will admit - on the very rare occasion my rig is off me - it feels very odd.

Not so much naked - as lop-sided

Yep, know that feeling. It's the 'something's not right' feeling. You're in good company.

When I'm wearing, I am totally unconscious of it, but when/if I go out without it, I am very aware of it not being there. Go figure.

Only miss it when it is not there.

    It's Like My Watch...

I don't think much about it. Sometimes I have to feel that it really is there...very comfortable...

It does bother me when I know I can't wear it...just for work...
As soon as I hit the door, it's back on...and it stays on at home or anywhere else I should go...when in bed...I take off the Kimber and it sleeps next to Glock in the nightstand. (Hope I don't wake up some morning and find some baby 'Glimbers' in the drawer?...)

That's funny . Can't say as I would mind it though. Those could be interesting things.

Nope, not a newbie thing. A normal thing.

Almost unaware of my piece(s) when wearing it (them), but I am very uneasy when I'm dressed and not armed.

When You are accustomed to wearing it all the time, if for some reason you can't wear it (exp- US Court House) You do become Hyper Aware tht it isn't there.

About those "Glimbers", perhaps that is what Glock will call their 1911 when they finally join all the other Manufactures in the real world.

Yup, it's normal. You'll get to where you don't notice it much while carrying but when it's not there you'll miss it.

Glimbers, hmmmmm, maybe a good looking plastic gun or a sterile hybrid like a mule?

Why in the world would Glock want to step down and produce another 1911???

Just kidding... Merry Christmas to all and I hope Santa brings everyone what they ask for.

I feel naked every day at work. But then, I'm a porn star.......Badump Bum! haha! A little joke for you.

Seriously, yes. I can't carry at work so I do feel "naked" at work and if I have to go someplace without my gun on for some reason. When we go out to eat at a place that serves alcohol, and in TN you can not carry in such an establishment, I feel very vulnerable.

You get used to it but you never learn to like it.
