    Hot weather IWB concealment techniques

    Hi all,

I am looking for advice from experienced folks who carry IWB in hot weather (southwest). What cover garments/techniques have you found to work best when carrying IWB (no appendix carry).

I am only interested in 9mm or larger with sizes similar to the Walther PPS, M&P Shield, XDs and so on.

    Thanks in advance.

Size-larger T-shirts and cargo shorts do the trick for me.

    Thanks,

Have you found any advantage in colors or weight of shirt material?

I usually wear a "wife beater" under a T-s shirt, or...just a T-shirt under a FL print shirt. Either works well down here in FL.

Under armor moisture wicking shirt with a light tee shirt over it. I use mostly black Tees. I realize it is a bit warmer, but the gun disappears....

Another vote for button shirt over a T-shirt buttoned or unbuttoned depends on how windy.

SW Kansas here. GLOCK 19 in a Crossbreed Supertuck (horsehide) with a wifebeater underneath, cover garment is an untucked t-shirt. This is year round attire. What changes is jeans when it's cold or shorts when it's not cold.

+1 on the wifebeater underneath it all. I usually wear Walmart Faded Glory T's, and stay away from white, blue and red. Black, OD, brown and gray all work well.

I carry my PPS in a High Noon with a 5.11 reinforced casual belt (1.5" width). I like open bottom button up shirts. Not the glaring Hawaiian shirts, but more modern/retro bowling style shirts. Think Charlie Sheen's wardrobe in "2 1/2 Men". (Just for fashion sense, not for content )

Almost any tee that isn't just white and hugging my body.
Can't beat a Hawaiian shirt either for full coverage.

While not quite 100 degree heat, we do get 100% humidity here. My waist doesn't agree with IWB, so I wear OWB with my shorts and either loose patterned shirts (not necessarily "Aloha" patterns) or Duluth's Long -Tail Ts. They are a heavier material and 3 inched longer in length. It works well for me in the FL weather.

I've heard quite a bit about how this or that pistol "disappears" but I'm somewhat skeptical, especially when squatting or turning...seem like the butt of the grip usually prints a bit. Maybe that's just me "seeing" too much.
