Sweating with IWB holster against bare skin

As the summer months near, I have been thinking about how to keep holster dry from salty sweat. (Don't want an undershirt or wifebeater as I want to stay as cool as possible) I know the holster will cause my body to sweat more, so I am wondering if there is anything I can do to prevent(or at least minimize) the amount of water the holster sees.

The holster is a cow hide, Foxx hybrid.

What have you guys done to "prevent" this.

    Thanks

In the summer months, I don't wear a tee shirt. LS button front, untucked, sleeves rolled up with OWB holster.
This works with full sized 1911 and a snubby .357 SP101.

Been doing that for years. No change in dress for me other than removing the tee shirt.

I wear a kydex pancake hoster with an A-shirt between the gun and my body. I didn't like the idea of an additional garment, either, but I got used to it. Gun against bare, sweaty skin is a no-winner.

I haven't tried it yet, but what about anti-perspirant?

Same gun as me(SR40C) but I bought the stainless. Nice rig though. I have seen this picture in another post and I believe I commented on it then too as I wear a lot of gym shorts and might have to splurge and get that holster. What is the name again.

As I mentioned in the original post though...I am trying to get rid of the undershirt all together as it makes me swear even more.

I'm from South Carolina and I know how poor our education system is hear but until I saw where you are from I could have sworn MI stood for Minnesota. I must be mistaken because relatively speaking Minnesota doesn't have a summer.

Just Kidding of course! We often have 90+ humidity and yes sometimes sweet is an issue but not so much that I wear a tshirt or wife beater to deal with it. The only time its so bad its soaked through the holster is when I mountain bike or trail run. Could be we are just more use to sweet... and I am a sweeter!

-Open carry is to a handgun as bluetooth is to a cell phone!

Unfortunately, I believe that a little extra heat is unavoidable when you carry. I have stayed with some type of undershirt for the most part when carrying IWB. I am trying an OWB holster this summer and I just picked up an LCP for pocket carry when it is really hot or my wardrobe doesn't work with anything else.

Much like holster selection, you may need to try a number of different options to find something that works for you.

Temps here reach 100 + in the summer pretty regularly. I have to carry IWB tucked for work, so an undershirt is standard for me. Best thing I've found to battle sweat is some Gold Bond Powder wherever you don't want to sweat a lot. Obviously you still sweat, but the powder dissipates it and keeps you cool. YMMV.

I bought my SuperTuk with Horse hide for that reason, but I still know it won't solve the whole problem. I spent 9 years up in MI and now 10+ down here. Summers are similar, but a lot longer down here.

I heard of a holster from Andre's Hosters Deep Concelment Chest Holsters that claim a space age material designed for burn victims. I am curious if that material is available and can be applied to the skin side of your holster.

Just curious. If I can find that material, I will try it in our 100 degree summer and report back.

I haven't used this company's holsters before but you should look at the ingognito. You have to scroll down a little. There's an option for a sweatproof memebrane. Garrity's Gunleather - IWB Holsters

I need a second 3Speed Holster, but i am also thinking of a simple Kydex for AIWB. I wear the Tee more to protect my Firearm rather than my skin :). I like the Foxx Trapp, but i also like PJ Holsters and JM Holsters (they have a slide guard)
