Advice needed in Ulster County NY

    Hello All,

As stated in the title I am in Ulster County NY. I'm going to apply for a CC permit and wonder if anyone could advise me on the process in obtaining it here.
I am a married mother of 3 and an upstanding citizen within my community.
My husband and I own rifles and hunt. Being a parent I am very much aware of gun safety. (Everything is kept in a locked safe bolted to the floor)
Does anyone have any information or suggestions pertaining to the judge letter and interview?

    Thank You

You might be better off contacting the NY State Rifle and Pistol Association with your question. A bit of Google-fu found this, they should be able to help as well:

Ulster Sheriff's Office > Criminal Division > Pistol Permit Unit

    Good luck!
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

My geography sucks but up north the Rochester Gun Club is one of the best for helping you secure a full carry permit and the training to go with it.

Best advice I can give you re: NY and gun rights/permits....Move to another state
When Guns Are Outlawed, Only Outlaws will have guns

Just remember, When seconds count help is mere minutes away

Also remember, When you go to trial by jury you are putting yourself into the hands of 12 people who weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty.
