CCW in KS today/Wal Mart trip

Finally, after years of BS politicians, finally got the CCW in my pocket. Got to the DMV at 7AM this morn. already 7 waiting in line. The only sign for no carry in my town just had to be on their door. The lady doing the ccw, asked some of us why we wanted to carry a gun. Some told her the real reason, I told her the 3 words I tell people just to get under their thumbnail, BECAUSE I CAN!!! Went to watch the grandtwins for a while, at 6 months old, they dont care if I carry or not. Then, THE TRIP. Went to the wal mart. I'm depressed. They don't sell nachos there. I got a box of ammo, a pair of pants, 2 bags of underwear, a 2007 combo hunt/fish license, couple bags of pretzles, gallon of milk, box of fruitloops, and a pack of batteries. Felt so good. They were wrong, 100's of people didn't get shot or killed in the streets of Kansas today. No one got into a shootout over a parking spot. The only people that cared if I carried were the that want and are looking for someone to screw up. I love it!!!!

Wow, WalMart should have lobbied hard for CCW in Kansas. Second thread today about Kansans going to WalMart after picking up their permit. Congratulation!

Forget the nachos, "none of your GD business" would have been the first thing I had to choke down that morning. After some hard swallowing, I would have politely informed her that it was not her job to question CCW applicants, the state had already done a fine job of that with their background check. Further, that her questioning could be construed as harassment at least, and possibly a violation of law, as it exceeded the permit requirements under established shall-issue law. If I said, "So I can shoot people" what would have been her response and course of action?

    But them I'm sensitive.

    I Am a CITIZEN!!

Made my trip to the DMV yesterday around 5PM, in and out in 15 minutes, no problems at all. The nice lady behind the counter said that they'd been swamped all day with people getting their Kansas CCH permits.

And to top it off, I got word that my SigSauer P229 is at the FFL dealer!! Christmas is still going strong

Though, I wasn't able to make the trip into WallyWorld just yet :(

Only gets easier to carry; so don't get complacent with the concealed part. Congrats.
