Thumbs up Fantastic video on pistol technique with Jerry Miculek

He just published this on his YouTube channel, it's about 25 minutes long, fantastic, and absolutely worth your time regardless of skill level if for no other reason than so you can confidently recommend it to beginners (or, frankly, anyone who's not already really, really good because that's who needs it):

Huh, I've been pronouncing his name wrong.

Always good to see him in action and I'm all ears.

Have met him before a few years ago at an Area 6 match when he was shooting a S&W Revolver as he has now transitioned to a Self Stuffer. Takes a load off Reloading the gun.....

This guy can shoot; yes. Humility however, is not his strongest point.

I try and watch all of his videos. Fantastic shooter, great family and a heck of a spokesman for our 2nd Amendment rights. Thanks for posting this.

Wow, that was awesome! As to humility, well I'm humble about my shooting ( for good reason) but if I had attained his accomplishments, not sure humility would be my strong suit either.

It ain't braggin if ya done it.

I have seen other videos where they say never put your left index finger on the trigger guard. But on a glock 26 it seems natural. Any comments on that technique?

There are arguments for and against both methods.

Excellent video, thank you. Jerry Miculek reminds me of my seventh grade science teacher. She would tell us what she was going to tell us, then tell us, then tell us what she told us. I love this guy.

Yeah, it was interesting to hear Jerry advocate for this technique. I've read the pros and cons of this method, mostly cons. Jerry's explanation in the video however makes sense.
Glock trigger guards appear to be designed for it.
