Just got home from a weekend at Mt. Bachelor with some friends, and what do I find in the mail box? My CHL!! Saw the letter was from the sheriff's office, and got really excited.
Was much quicker than expected. Oregon allows 45 days, but it only took 22 days total! I'll have to make the Wal-mart run tomorrow after work.

Congratulations!
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

Welcome to the club. I was at Bachelor today - can't beat those blue sky days up there!
I got my CHL in person - is that a new thing having to wait for it in the mail?
EDIT: Actually I remember now - I applied in person and it arrived about a week later.

Congradulations. Just got mine last week after 9 weeks. Local sheriff [morrow county] blamed it on the OSP. for the hold up.Used him for a reference too. Didn't know Walmart had guns as they do not up here in eastern Or. Get some practice in and be smart and SAFE
