Red face Grammy got her unrestricted Class A MASS license today!

I applied on Sept 10 and had not heard anything, so yesterday I emailed the Sargent that I filled out the application with, and he replied that it was approved and activated and I could pick it up anytime, Now I might have gone last night to pick it up, however we were in the middle of a Nor'easter, so I decided to wait till this morning. Just got back, so Saturday off to the gun stores.

FYI I am 62 and disabled, no running for cover for me. I still need to take more classes, will be working on that and joining a club.
My husband applied for his about a month after I did, so still waiting on his.

    Good news, indeed.

A question for you: what does it take to get an unrestricted permission slip in MA?

I think mostly living in the right town, in this case Bourne MA. But the change in the law here seems to be having some effect also. In fact when I went in to do the application I had a letter with a whole list of reasons, and the sargent said forget all that just put for all legal purposes.

Congrats on the LTC-A Restrictions:None! You are correct, where you live makes a big difference. I've never had a restricted LTC in 20+ years, but was always pretty careful where I moved within Mass.

They seem to be getting better on turnaround times. I renewed last year and had mine in about 60 days (and 2 months before my old one expired), which for last year wasn't bad. Some were waiting 180+ days. I'm hearing more and more getting them within the 40 day as mandated by law (but usually ignored by most PD's).

ETA: As a Mass. gun owner, I'd encourage you to support Comm2A and GOAL. In particular, Comm2A has been doing some great work through the court system.
