    Florida Non-res in hand!

I just got back from the post office and, in addition to various offers for a total of a million dollars in credit, I got my Florida non-res permit! I sent it in sometime in the end of November, I think, so the turnaround time seems pretty good. It says it is good till 2012, so I can relax on that front for a while. My Utah permit should be in soon, as well!

Congrats. I'm still waiting on mine, they needed additional paperwork so I hope that doesn't start the process over completely.

    FL non resident

I believe FL issues one permit only. No resident or non resident. John

Good news - mine I got approx a year or more ago IIRC and despite having to resend some info - which I am sure they lost! ..... I got the whole deal thru in not too much over 60 days. Not too bad I thought.

That and my PA res permit cover me for about most of what I need. That said I do not stray outa state too much, in particular as MD ''hostile territory'' is not far to my south Come to think on it - out east ain't too friendly either with NJ, and NY ain't over friendly to my permits either!

Oh well - OH is seemingly gettin it together.

Congrats! I keep Ohio (my home state), FL and NH. I got the NH first because it was so quick, inexpensive and simple - then planned a trip to somewhere NH didn't cover, so I decided to get FL too.

I don't travel out of state that much, maybe a few times a year - but just HATE to not carry.

I agree about Ohio P95 - March 15 we'll be much closer to the carry rules of other states; particularly car carry.

Can someone point me in the direction of the application and information regarding the Florida non-resident? I have my Kansas permit, but I travel to Pennsylvania a LOT and it would be nice to be covered there.

I have no link handy but Google ''Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services - licencing division''

You should be able to apply for the paperwork package thru the site.
