    Montana Legislation Update

HB-340, the citizen's self-defense & firearms rights act, failed to pass the 2nd reading in the Montana House of Representatives today. The vote was 50 to 48 against.

No Castle Doctrine law for Montana again this year. Just as in 2005, NRA support for this legislation was conspicuously lacking.

Does anyone know why the NRA would not support castle doctrine type bills?
