While I support the concept of the site, I find the $40 fee to be somewhat on the steep side, so I'm holding off. Maybe he'll have a membership sale sometime.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the weaponry to make the difference.

    Got you covered!

I got 2 or 3 issues without a cover. Although I made no request, the one today arrived in a plain brown wrapper. Must be a new policy.

Anubis - read Tim's short editor's comments inside front cover - he mentioned about it there.

went off half-cocked, flashed in the pan!

I saw that after my first post. Didn't actually open the mag until a day or 2 after ripping off the cover envelope.

Eric - first yes - I would recommend and commend the magazine. It is now at a stage where it is a well polished and well presented publication, which I have had from issue #1.

As for the USCCA - it is still young but Tim Schmidt (mag editor and principle of USCCA) is planning some quite major moves over time. I therefore suggest folks join and help support it, help it grow and then be patient as it gains strength. Any new organization needs time to establish and I reckon adding in more support helps this.

Hopefully it will become a force to be reckoned with - and as we know - we need co-ordinated efforts from many directions.

    USCCA Advance

I don't know how many of you have had a chance to read Tim's Thoughts in the Feb. issue of CCM, but when you do be sure to pay careful attention to number 2.

It states: "I am in the process of hiring a lobbying organization to represent the USCCA in Washington, D.C. This is going to be fantastic. The USCCA will now have a powerful voice in our nation's capital. We will pro-actively promote the armed lifestyle and fight to maintain or natural born freedoms. I will keep you updated as this exciting phase of our new organization unfolds."

For those who have asked what does USCCA do here is your answer. For those who have refrained from joining USCCA because you weren't sure that it was going to accomplish anything, you need refrain no longer. Let's thank Tim for his leadership and his work and if you haven't joined USCCA don't delay any longer. The more members we have the more funds available to carry on our work. Also the more members we have the bigger the clout a lobbyist representing us has. The more people he represents the more our government officials listen.

    Thanks, Tim.

George - my thinking exactly when I read Tim's words.

This is why I urge anyone vacillating, to do it - join and add that extra support.

Over time USCCA could and should gain good status and as we know, we need co-ordinated efforts in the struggle.

Ok, you put me over the edge. I joined a minute ago. I hope I joined in time for the issue above.

I ordered the back issues on CD, so I hope to be caught up soon..
