Info Request: IA and MN vehicle carry
I will be traveling through Iowa and into Minnesota soon. They do not honor Missouri's permit.
From what I can find on the web, I will have to keep my weapon unloaded and in it's case while in the vehicle.
Are there any other laws such as ammo storage?

MO permit good in MN
MN will now honor a MO permit so you are OK there now. You will still have to put it away in IA.

In Iowa a handgun must be secured in a container to large to carry on a person, and not in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Which pretty much means the trunk of the car.

Wow! I swear that just changed this week.
Unfortunately, I have found blogs that say that the Mall of America has signs posted.

Did just change this week
MN added 11 states to the list of states it will honor. That happened this week.

I don't believe those signs are legally binding. A landlord cannot restrict carry. Their tennants can. That tells me that a store can post, but the Mall cannot. Check here.

The MOA can't post banning you from carrying in the mall. Because MN law does not allow a landlord to negate your rights on having and carrying guns. Only the store can post so just walk on by!

The signs are not legally binding or even posted per law...

However they will ask you to leave if they spot your gun. There is a Bloomington Police sub station right there at the mall. Carry concealed and leave if spotted and asked.
