I don't have access to watch video from work. What are they discussing / debating. I live in FL, and should have my CCP any day.

A bill that covers private property rights is being discussed again this year. The bill in a nut shell would prevent an employer (except national defense contract holders) from keeping you from having a gun in your car at work. It is Supported by the NRA and opposed by the retail lobby. Sen. Argenziano , the commity chair, said her car is her private property and an employer should not be able to dictate what she keeps in it. The bill passed this commity meeting and is headed to the judiciary commity next. If you snoop around the House and Senate web sites you can probably find out more.
    I hope this helped.

I work for a defense contractor. Why are we not included?

The defence contractors argued that thier customers require random vehicle and personal search to ensure national security and this law would make that illegal. They also said they have security guards in the parking lots. One senator argued that they don't follow you home so you should have the right to defend yourself from the lot to your house but the compromise was allready made. It will go to judiciary for some polishing. This is the Senate version I don't know if it has a sponsor in the House.

I really can't follow that line of logic. Wait, could this be my impetus to find a new employer?

Why Can't I Keep My Weapon...

secured in my vehicle while on school grounds? Seems reasonable to me, and some states allow it...FL does not. This could involve much more than just losing a job...CNN, CBS, lawyers, court, big fine, loss of CCW...to name a few things...

This bill won't change that, but I did write the legislators...

    Maybe someday...
