Don't forget about this one, it's a 5 minute drive from WSU on the other side of the state:

The goblins of society tend to take full advantage of such "Designated Victim Zones," or "Criminal Protection Zones," as they have been correctly termed.

I had a class cancelled that was in that building today. Sickening.

    I guess concealed is concealed.

So can her estate sue the school for not letting her carry a weapon?

How can this have happened, it was a "Gun Free Zone", thats obviously a made up story!

Its too bad the anti-gun lobby simply doesn't get the fact that criminals or those who choose to do physical harm to innocent people do NOT obey "gun free zone" signs, and laws. Restraining orders certainly don't always work either, and that story proved it.

Campus police were not aware of the restraining order, Wittmier said. He also said he did not think the man had permission to carry a handgun on campus, where firearms are banned.
The shooter didn't have permission to have a gun there? There should be a law requiring a permit to shoot somebody at "prohibited locations."

Very sad, I can't imagine what it would be like to be her family. It amazes me how people can see things like this and not realize that criminals dont' obey the law.

A very sad turn of events. I'm very glad I don't have to go on a university campus anymore. I always hated disarming myself just to go learn.

That's just it... they don't care. To the anti's, defending one's self is "taking the law into their own hands" and is politically incorrect.

Restraining orders are a big joke and do nothing to protect the victim.

The psychos who do these multiple shootings may be crazy, but they aren't stupid. What better place to do it than a genuine OSHA approved safe-for-crime zone.
