    Private Gun Sale Transfer

    All,

I have "brokered" the sale of three handguns between a friend of mine in Florida and my wife's uncle who is a reserved deputy sheriff in the state of Kansas.

Can a Florida FFL transfer the guns directly to a law enforcement agency? Or, will they have to be sent to a Kansas FFL?

    Thanks in advance!

    Why not just UPS them?

I had to go to DC in February and the weekend before I went to PA and took my Kimber and did a little shooting. Monday Morning I UPSed it back to the office went to DC for three days and when I got back to Texas on Thursday the gun was waiting for me.

If it is not in the US Constitution then the Federal Government should not be doing it.

It's perfectly legal to ship to yourself. I have done it on several occasions when I was going to be on an extended trip and didn't want the hassle (or the risks) of messing with checking it on board a plane (I'm a bit paranoid about it).

The situation is different here, as the weapon is changing hands across state lines. Legally, it must go through an FFL on the receiving end.
