"Just blame Sixto"
ok time to laugh at a newbie, but what is a smart carry????
thanks for the info
I havent tried one yet in all of my years (2 days)carrying, but enough people here think enough of it that I was willing to order one.
I gotta give ya credit for admiting you put wood screws in your holster. Also gotta say, it looks like it works.
I've used an Uncle Mikes IWB for my 642 for 5 months now( among others). I dont like it , but its not too bad if I have a t-shirt between the holster and my skin. The clip holds fairly well, I havent had to insert screws yet. I have a Tucker Leather IWB on the way. Can't wait. I'm ready to send Uncle MIke down the road...
Smart carry gets a big thumbs up for a small gun.
I carry my XD .40 subcompact in my smart carry in shorts and a tshirt, in jeans, dress pants, my suit to church... No one has EVER noticed - not even my wife. And yes, she is rather affectionate...

When a criminal busts down your door in the middle of the night, which would you rather have in your hand - a gun, or a phone?
When a thug shoves a gun in your face in the mall parking lot, which would you rather have in your hand - a gun, or a cellphone?
thanks for the info lbrombach, that uncle mikes is what im using now.
had it for about 5-6 months now. actually quite comfortable and still in good condtion. being a southpaw i wear it about 9:00.
i guess im just curious if the materaial isnt that good or the clip teants
to crack or break off. thanks again for any input
Congrats on getting your permit. There's nothing like that first day carrying. Before long, you'll be like the rest of us, feeling naked if we go out without a weapon. In any event, you will appreciate your Crossbreed holster when it arrives. There's just nothing like a custom holster. There are many serviceable holsters available, but when you put on a custom, there's a world difference. I've heard good things about the Crossbreed. I considered it before I bought my Max Con V from Gary Brommeland. It's a fantastic piece of equipment, comfortable, and very well made. I couldn't be happier.
But I'm with everyone else Wood Screws???
Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.
LB congrates on both the permit and your new company as well. What are you charging for a franchise fee?
RNTHUNDER welcome to the forum you need to do your own post it may have been lost in this thread!!
If it is not in the US Constitution then the Federal Government should not be doing it.
"Carrying a gun is a social responsibility."
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.
you did a nice job with the screws. all those custom leather holster makers might want to watch it, or they'll be out of business.

Am surprised nobody hit on this yet... just curious - your union steward dictates what you do off the job?
