I emailed the NRA to see if CCW will be allowed inside the Kentucky Expo Center during the NRA Annual Meeting in May (2016) but haven't heard anything from them...anybody have any insight?
Gotta Fly or Gonna Die
Be very hypocritical if it was not. But the NRA is not really about gun rights, they are about the money.
They lobby for good legislation, they lobby against bad legislation, they litigate directly and indirectly, they provide gun activities and events nationwide, they provide safety and gun courses for any and all, they are the largest, strongest, and most effective 2A organization in the USA.
Yes, there are others I support, including the RMGO, GOA, SAF and others, but the NRA is the 800 pound gorilla in the ring.
I think your inference they are only about collecting money is 100% wrong, and provides a misleading, inaccurate, and factually incorrect picture of the NRA to anyone reading your post.
Was fine last time I carried as did others in family. Remember in Ky state sets where not legal to carry. No gun signs mean nothing. Unless your pistol noticed and your told to leave. Then you must leave . If not will be a trespass charge. State very gun friendly over all . We have had concealed carry long enough . No longer have the petty problems some states have being new to conceal carry . Printing non issue , Check the laws in Ky before you come not many and easy to remember.
Bring money!!! We like that Buy Lots of Bourbon while here . Take time to visit a distillery
Stop by Bersa /metro arms booth on Sat. and say high . I will be their most of day. But I want to visit other booths also.
And the AARP sold the 2A down the river.
While I don't necessarily dislike the NRA, lets not act like they can do no wrong either.
This thread is specifically on the allowability of guns at the NRA Convention, so let's keep it on topic. And yes, I realized I was guilty of some off-topic smack too. I gave myself some points.
ETA: Severely edited, I didn't catch that this thread was about the NRA convention, I confused it with the other thread regarding the GOP convention. I'm leaving the remaining comment.

"Well regulated" shouldn't be confusing...
Seriously? I did a search on the question, and this is the first response I got with Bing.
Legal CC OK at NRA Annual Meeting 2016 In Louisville!
Considering this is gun friendly KY, I wouldn't expect anything to have changed restricting our rights to carry.

It would be extremely hypocritical to promote gun rights but not allow carry.
The minimum is not what I want to defend my life with.
It would be the noble thing to allow it. I'd like to see some terrorist try and sneak into the NRA convention to try and pull something...
