Do you think this incident is a reason to pass stricter gun control legislation?
No. Violent shootings are isolated incidents and it's irresponsible to link them to gun control.

I ran across this poll too and voted. Too bad ABC can't wait until we know what really happened before they start putting up pollitically charged polls.

goto the front page and look for the poll. click on it then vote. the link provided appears to show the referrer has already voted.
actually with ANY of these types of polls and responses you DON'T want to click the link from here. you want a new blanck window, paste the address in and work from there. avoids having them say all the posts came from "gun nuts" :-(

Voted.
I'm glad to see that a good majority of voters (over 9 thousand) have already voted for the common-sense option. Maybe the wankers in the VA government (and other state governments) will finally get a clue and pass laws eliminating these "gun-free zones" which only serve to create "target-rich zones".

The violent video games are being blamed for shootings like this. The news says that there is one game that was a modeled after the shooting that happened at Collumbine.(hope this is spelled right) If this is true it is a very sick game. some people will do any thing for money and the people who use it are sicker.

Voted,
As of right now.
There are at least 29 confirmed dead in the shooting at Virginia Tech University, making it the worst campus shooting in American history. Law enforcement officials believe the gunman was firing at least two 9mm semi-automatic pistols.
Do you think this incident is a reason to pass stricter gun control legislation?
No. Violent shootings are isolated incidents and it's irresponsible to link them to gun control.

Good for the "NO's"

This is the best argument for more guns!
More education, more CCW. When people start voicing that opinion and presenting the logic behind it, maybe we can start countering the insanity behind the "logic" of gun control.
