Put them on a Gun Free Zone?

    Just asking
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.

Ahh yes DU is Moonbattery at its best IMHO . Just remember that most of the idiots who post there are closer to pelosi and her ilk than any true democrats.

Echoing the other sentiment about being the better person despite personal attacks...

...I'd reccomend using a different screenname when you register. Using the same one at forums all over the web can lead to issues. I've got about 4 or 5, and never the same one to link me back here.

And that is absolutely fine because we are polite, reasoned and rational in all that we discuss.
I've been on a few gun forums as a member and on numerous forums of other type, and this is by far the best group I have joined.
Let them watch our words, they will learn a lot.

    Gunguys.com

I try to go that site at least once a week; I consider it to be of paramount importance to see what tactics and verbiage the antis are using so as to be able to counter it in letters to my reps, etc., when the need arises.

The best part about gunguys.com is how the (obviously quite insane) moderator will spend 3-4 posts in a row stating "we don't want to ban guns, only have reasonable restrictions" blah blah blah and then follow that up with posts stating that all firearms are inherently dangerous, no one is ever safe around a firearm at any time, and they should all be banned. He's so nuts he can't even agree with himself!

I find that I kind of enjoy reading other people's opinions, even if they're different from mine. As long as they are coherant and polite about it, it helps me to look critically at my own opinions, and forces me to rationalize why I think the way I do. After doing it long enough, you get pretty good at pre-rationalizing your opinions and playing devil's advocate with yourself before you fully form them, which is a good habit to get into, IMO. You just can't let your opinions be formed by what you read, and can't let your blood pressure get too high when you come across a mental midget making a fool of himself.
