I put mine on when dressing first thing in the morning, stays on till I come home at nite. At home, goes in to 1 of 2 personal gun safes around the house. Have quick access at home at all times.

I don't carry at home... kind of hard when you only wear shorts. But since I dont have kids, I do have guns accesible around the house. Unless I am fishing from my backyard, there is a gun within 7 - 10steps.
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.

    Always in public.
Most of the time when I am around my property, in the field, or on the tractor.

I agree in theory, but it just uncomfortable. I know, I know, but I've got to get some downtime (besides at work). Lock the door, deadbolt too, and hope that buys me 5 seconds.

    Timmy,

Just curious, why do you choose to lock it up at work if you are able to carry there? Or maybe I just don't understand your job. Please don't feel obligated to answer if you dont want to.

I voted always when I'm outside, but I always keep a gun within arms reach when I'm in the house. I just don't have it on my hip.

I work at a place (and, come to think of it, always have, no matter what the employer) that posts "No Firearms" signs. Until this week, I'd usually complied with that, even though I have a concealed carry permit.

But this week I picked up a pocket gun, loaded it, and went to the office. From now on, come *ell or high water, I refuse to be a victim.

I haven't had my permit very long, but every day since the day I got it. At home, always within reach, if not on me. 12 guage not far away.
