    Thanks, I found out the first thing this morning. My sympathies go out to the family of the Dave that was killed at JSC. The Dave I worked with at GSFC is fine.

    It's always strange when you hear a familiar name on the news. It happened about a dozen years ago, and that time it was the person I knew.

    I worked at GSFC for a while and I have to admit, I sometimes miss the environment. Working at a NASA Space Flight Center is fascinating. The work I did had nothing to do with the technical side of things, but I had great access and got to see a lot of cool stuff.

    Yea, we do build some great stuff. When I started here almost everything was built off site by the "big" aerospace contractors. Then in the 90's they started a couple major "in-house" projects. I've been lucky enough to have been involved with a couple of the first ones, and the project I'm on now is the biggest thing Goddard has built since the 80's.

    It's really great to be able to really get your hands on the hardware!
