On a run, I used to carry one of those little velcroed key holders on the shoelaces (with house key, money), plus a belly band holster and revolver w/ spare strips. That's all that was needed. Yet, going "out" with slacks means I fill those pockets. Can't imagine what I'd do with a vest or coat that had pockets everywhere. Weighty subject.

Its kind of like a garage, the more room you have the more crap you stick in it.

No really I carry all of that plus a small flashlight. As a fat guy I enjoy it in the vest pockets instead of in my pants. I have enough trouble keeping them up. LOL

I am a soccer dad and spend 6-8 hours each week-end on fields that have a 'port-o-potty' and little else. A couple of bottles of water, trail mix, beef jerky, a book, sunglasses, et al plus my EDC.

    My vests are invaluable.

Here's what I usually have in mine.

4.4oz OC spray, folding knife, keys, PDA, cell phone, 2 spare mags, bluetooth earpiece for my cell phone, wallet, 2 pens, 2 work card-keys, earplugs for loud restaurants, leatherman, flashlight.

    Thanks!
