In my state, as far as my use of force to reciprocate, a 'BG' is defined to me as anyone who, through their actions, makes me believe they will cause me, or another innocent person, to suffer death or great bodily harm.

In a general sense, exactly what Dakotaranger said.
Those that would harm, take advantage, evil, or exploit anyone...

This is what BGs look like.

Other than that, everyone on the planet is a BG until proven otherwise, YMMV.

If someone threatens me to the point I feel I need to draw my gun, then they are a BG.

Hard to say with certainty. Bad guys take all shapes and sizes and colorations. Someone who would do me or my family or my friends harm fits. I resent those ploting to take away our freedom to bear arms. I am suspicious of their motives. Are they just afraid of guns or are they afraid of me? Anyone who is afraid of me is potentially dangerous to me. It is called paranoia. I trust most people until they give me reason not to trust them. However I don't test their trust with something that is of major harm to me or my family.

OK, back on this point. Just in case follow your state law regarding the use of deadly force. Reasonable fear of death or grave bodily harm in Florida.
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.

A bad guy is someone guy or gal that is prepared to harm an innocent, and a good guy or gal is the person that will use what ever force necessary to stop that person from harming an innocent!

As far as ccw terms, anyone that tries to harm or intrude on me or my family. Other BG's could be the mechanic that says he rebuilt my transmission but didnt or the guy in Mcdonalds that spit on my burger...

Lots of A$$H@!#$ in the world, and not all are BG...they ARE just the aforementioned...
Now when the aforementioned interfers with my freedom to move and exist, I become concerned, thus condition 'yellowish-orange'...

I will avoid interviews, bad areas, and crowds when possible...

If the aforementioned attempts to hurt me or mine...the label becomes BG, and I will respond as the threat demands!

we had some guys from the "edge" if you've heard of it come and talk to us last week. their definition was people that do things that are immoral, unethical, or illegal. i thought that was an eloquent way to put it - surprising since they were anything but.

To me BG means any threat to me or those that I love.

Since I am considering hanging up the suit and wearing a blue uniform I suppose the definition will have to change slightly- but unless and until then, that sums it up.

Now, there are plenty of other BGs out there, but for our purposes here BG tends to mean someone you would shoot at, so that explains my limited definiton.
