Nah. The NRA merely helps people to see the light. The Administration of any presidency can only lead and influence. It's congress, however, that has the strings ... if it acts with a brain, that is. She apparently left hers at the door, exchange for the "stripes" of office. Poor twit. Reap what you sow.
Your best weapon is your brain. Don't leave home without it.

I don't like to hear anyone attacked by a goblin. Glad to see this had a decent outcome - victim not greatly hurt (broken wrist sucks though), purse kept. Bad guy got away though. It was nice to see the student willing to help.

I doubt this will change her mind though, Braun always seemed to me to be a true anti believer. Guns are evil. If someone with a CCW (as rare as that has to be in Chicago) had helped her she might have had a change but I doubt it.

I disagree. People who think they are better than the serfs and want to disarm us deserve any harm that befalls them.

You're probably right about this. She will completely overlook that fact that gun or not, she is only alive because her attacker allowed it. None of her legistation or 911 calling could have saved her.

Why do these folks persist with the notion that laws = safety?

I wonder if this will change her opinion ?
It is with glee that I, as an Illinois resident, say, "who cares?".

She's gone into a well deserved obscurity. She's a one term senator (a rarity) who rode into prominence on Slick Willy's coattails. Now her condition is, how do they say it, "out on her own recognizance".

It was probably some of the folks she took advantage of while a Senator. If you know her history, you will see she is another sleaze bag, they just got tired of her and threw her out. Another in the long line of that ilk who talk one thing, but do another. Thank God she is gone.
I know, I know, you are smarter than me..just ask you..

Karma will sometimes come right up and bite you in the butt....just like it did to her.

I hate to laugh at the misfortune of others but this made me laugh out loud.

Karma is a "female dog". At least she isn't the hypocrite that Senator Boxer in CA is.
