How big is your carry weapon?
Over in the how many rounds does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop thread, one of the commenters said his Glock 19, "simply isn't practical to carry in my opinion. It's just too heavy and cumbersome." Looking at the dimensions of the Glock, it is almost exactly the same size (within a few millimeters) as my USP Compact .45, which I consider the perfect carry gun.
Now I realize that there are a lot of factors that affect people's choice of carry gun, including their size, style of dress, the consequences of getting made, and, perhaps most important, how confident they are in that weapon in the event of a gunfight. So I'm wondering, how big is your EDC? I'm really looking for the gun you carry most often, not the one that you thing you should carry, but don't because it's too big, or that you would carry if you were wearing an overcoat. What is on your hip day in and day out? I've tried to provide a fairly comprehensive set of categories (my apologies if anyone here carries a Desert Eagle) and given a couple examples of what sort of guns are in each category, but I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings if your favorite gun isn't listed (hey, I didn't even list my own carry piece).

I voted compact 'cause thats what I carry when I can. I do have the option for a micro or sub compact too.

I voted full size. I carry a Glock 22 EVERY DAY on duty. I also carry my Glock 23 when I am carrying concealed, but the duty carry happens for longer periods of time than the CC so I chose the G22.

I carry a Beretta 92 FS 10 months out of the year. On really warm days, I switch to the PX 4 Storm, which is marginally smaller. I'm big, so it was (and is) a tough decision, but I like the feel of a full sized pistol with decent mag capacity and I like the reliability and accuracy of these two pistols, which, to me, is the main thing.

Used to be a Sig P226.
Now it's a P225.
I guess that falls into the compact category.

I carry either of my Commanders at least every other day (if I don't go out there's no need to carry). The lightweight one just about disappears on my belt, granted I've been carrying the steel framed one for about a year now so that makes the alloy frame seem that much lighter by comparison. I carry two full mags on my weak side to balance out the weapon and to use on the off chance 8 rounds of .45 doesn't get the job done. I can and do conceal all of this on my 145 lb. frame with an untucked button up shirt. I haven't been made yet to my knowledge.
