The convention would have to be held in a state that recognizes or honors every other state's concealed carry permits.

Oregon, Hawaii, California, New York, New Jersey & Maryland, just to name a few, would be automatically eliminated as a host.

To answer the Question: The Texas Concealed Handgun Association has a convention in February.

I am trying to figure out how to get actively involved in TCHA but I have not figured out how to do it yet.

If it is not in the US Constitution then the Federal Government should not be doing it.

I feel bad for that idiot that tries to take someones wallet when they are walking out at night.

hmmm, I wonder how many people would draw or at least put their hand on their holster.

Well I believe Alaska will recognize everyone.

It would have to be during king crab season though.... mmmmmm.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

sounds like it might be a fun and intresting get together but what
about all the anti gunners waiting outside. im sure that they would
get wind of such an event.

but what about all the anti gunners waiting outside
It would be a good opportunity to show them that we aren't all a bunch of knuckle dragging mouth breathers.

Don't worry guys I'll give you a refresher coarse on Italian American hand gestures to show them when we walk in.

    Thumbs up

Yeah, it'd be great to publicize it nationally with a positive media spin afterwards. I'm in, where do I go for the raffle and give aways?

Seriously, there is enough talent in this forum to handle putting one together. We'd need people for things like like on-line registration, marketing, planning, sponsorship and revenue management to include conference venues.

There has got to be an event manager up on this board somewhere. I say let's get 'er dun!!!

I'd go, assuming I can afford the trip. Personally, I don't see the harm in people knowing that I carry. Especially other ccwers. I figure that it shows people that normal people that behave responsibly and grown-up (non-hostile at all cost) are the ones carrying. However, people that know where I live don't get to know, unless they are very close and trusted.

Not necessarily. Non-resident permits exist for a reason

Same here. Family, close friends (who are ironically, almost all CCW holders or applicants), and some school officials and law enforcement.

    Other than that, nobody's wiser.

Attendance would not necessarily imply you are a permit/license holder. I reckon there'd be plenty of curiosity seekers just wanting info.

Arizona sounds like a great idea. We could probably get a great sponsorship from just about every gun manufacturer, holster manufacturer, and everything in between. That should easily help pay for convention costs.
