    Nashville Baseball Game

I am planning on going to a baseball game in Nashville and was wondering if some of the Nashvillians could shed some light on the issue? The stadium has a broad no weapons policy but I am not sure of the security measures (metal dectectors etc) and was going for the don't ask don't tell policy; I never recall seeing anything in TN laws about not being able to carry at sporting events.

Is there anyone who has gone to games there that could inform me of what I could expect. I would like to be prepared as much as possible...especially when it comes to my life.

    Thanks

My understanding, Tenn . law states you may not carry where prohibited by a business.

Well, my understanding is that a business can post signs prohibiting it, but shall due so with language substantially similar to that stated in statute 39-17-1359. I have never seen any business post a sign that meets those standards, nor do I plan to inform them of their oversight. Through my research for clarification in the law it has been interpreted that they can restrict firearms and can ask you to leave... if one does not, they will be charged will trespassing.

However, I have not been to a game in a long time and I now remembered that they sell alcohol at games... ... so I am screwed anyway.

No guns at Predators games so I assume the same for a Sounds game. No metal detectors that I know of but since you know weapons aren't allowed you would be breaking the law and subject to ejection at best, arrest at worst. Tn. law says that even if the property owner doesn't post signs they can verbally ask you to leave if you are carrying and you must comply.

One other question would be, does Metro Nashville own any portion of Greer stadium? If so, carry would be prohibited under TCA 39-17-1311.

Also, aren't alcoholic beverages served there for consumption on the premises?--Carry prohibited under TCA 39-17-1305.
