    CCW vs. Restraining Order (followup)

I recently posted a question regarding CCW vs a Restraining order.

The posts were almost unanimous. "Get lawyered up."

In my case, I could not afford a lawyer. So, I spent much time in counsel with a Heavenly advocate and the short of it all is this:

I was able to convince my wife to rescind the order and she promised to not do it again.

However, before she was able to do this, it went before a judge and he denied it. Case closed.

Thanks to all for your encouragement.

    -Doc

God's the best lawyer I know of, and his rates aren't high.

Delighted and relieved things have settled down in that regard.

Great news! Really glad to hear everything's worked out on this issue, hopefully nothing will show up on a check though (I'm not clear which dispositions still show and which don't).

Not to rain on your parade, but promises can be broken by ex's.

I would suggest two things, (1) Don't miss or be late on child support, (2) Don't even give her a shred of evidence that you may be aggressive towards her, one complaint and you are back to square one. Just because it was dismissed doesn't mean that it won't be in the "paperwork" if a future event happens.

    Good luck.

I am very happy for you. May that be a wake up call to you! May I suggest professional counseling for you, either through your church, or a marriage counselor. What ever you both agree on. The marriage is sacred. Good luck, from the been there done that class.

Glad to hear you and the man upstairs got it worked out.

And thanks for the follow up I was worrying about you.

I am so glad to hear that worked out.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.
