When I get home and slip into the shorts with the elastic waistband, I put my G19 in a Smartcarry, but instead of wearing it in front, I put it at 3:00 just like I wear my CTac the rest of the time. I'm familiar with it there.

A .45 or .38 on or within reach ALWAYS. Poverty and meth make some do crazy things to good people in my state. Never thought I would garden with a gun...but better safe than sorry.

I may not have one on me at all times, but I am never very far out of reach of one. If there isn't already one in the room that I am going into, I take one with me.

Yes, about the only time I don't have one is if I get up at night to go to the bathroom. I have a Hi Power on as I type this.

Funny you should mention that. I had my 38 in my pocket yesterday while tilling/planting our garden.

24/7 as the saying goes, even while at home. You just never know when trouble may come a knocking. I never answer the door without looking out first with my hand on my gun, just in case.

No, but there's always one within a couple of steps from me. If I'm in the bedroom, there's a Mossberg 835 and a Ruger M77 .270... anywhere else, there's always a handgun close by. But actually CARRY one in the house? Nah.

If I'm dressed, I have a gun on my person. If not, there's one within arms reach.

    This is pretty much why.

Home invasion with my family at home is my worst nightmare. I try to carry at home as much as possible.

Almost always...since VT I've been consciously working to eliminate times when I'm not armed. I carried before...but VT was a real wake up call. You just don't know when it's going to happen, and home invasions are far too likely. I live in probably one of the safest little towns in the country, but those are the famous post-incident words..."things like that don't happen here." They happen everywhere, and all the time.
