    Long read but worth it.

And I thought Massad carried a lot of gear!! Strange, while it would seem this guy is a perfect candidate for carrying a concealed weapon, I got the impression he not the type to do so, though he does seem to like knives.

That guy is plenty prepared for the earthquake he seems to be worried about. But, one would think that a crackhead on the street is more probable. Maybe he's confident in his knife skills- but knives don't win gun fights, no matter how many you have.

What surprised me the most is that he uses a Milt Sparks belt. I know plenty of people that carry guns without a proper belt and wouldn't know where to turn to get one. He has one of the best, and no gun hooked to it!

When scat hits his own fan fate will probably drop a boulder on him or have a buss careen into him.

Hmm...he does mention CC in passing, and the guy's got a Milt Sparks belt and Surefire flashlight, which is a combo that is rarely found very far from a gun, so I'm guessing he's just being discreet by not showing his carry piece.

IIRC, Outdoors would not look favorably on printing info on his carry piece. Know your audience. He may also be more aware of the local NPE than we are.

He seems a bit eccentric, but sure seems to have covered every possible need, except, NO FIREARM. Was his wool hat steel lined ??
I don't recall seeing a bottle of water or a purification system. Perhaps I missed it.

The bottle of water was hand carried, and he has purification tablets.

Although he may seem a trifle "overboard" it is after all his kit and as such should satisfy HIM, we all have our own needs. Doug

That is what I took away from it as well......otherwise the CCW part would not have been mentioned.

When I lap this guy running from whatever is going on next to him, you slow guys can pick up the goodies that I blow off his doors.

We'll sort it out at the fort.
