Nope but I'd rather have something then nothing. It might have at least given someone a chance. I've worked as a teacher and the ones that I've known would never carry a gun but they might keep non-leathal options if they could and they would defend the students.

Not all people are capable of using leathal force. If it was up to me I'd arm the ones that could show they know how to handle a gun and wanted to carry one but I'd require that all of them carry something to defend they're lives and that of the students. I would also get them some good training.

Don't forget women make up the majority of teachers.

I wouldn't be in favor of arming teachers. I am in favor of a teacher making that choice for themselves. I am in favor of schools having more armed security personnel around. They don't have to be teachers though.

I am for arming any teacher that wants to be armed.

Having a wife that has taught for 30 years and having prepared many teachers for their CHL, I have no problem with any teacher that could get a CHL carrying a gun at school.

Fighting an armed assailant with anything less than lethal force is stupid and suicidal.
