I turned in my paperwork on Tuesday the 8th, and my permit came in the mail today. The lady at the Department Of Public Safety said it would take 2-3 weeks, but nope, its here in my hand. I feel more legal now that I have one...I'm much more comfortable with carrying a handgun.
BTW: Wally World doesn't have a snack bar, so I'll be eating fast food instead.

Grats on getting a permit, now you've got that whole reciprocity thing working for you..

HB 102, signed by the Governor on June 11, 2003 changes Alaska Statute 11.61.220 to allow anyone 21 or older, who may legally carry a firearm to also carry it concealed without having to obtain a special permit.
