can you carry on the job?
and if you can/do, being around denver pd, what do they think or what woud they think knowing you had a ccw.
i have heard alot of things about denver pd not wanting people to carry. not sure how much is true.
While in performance of my duties as a Fire Investigator I can carry.

I don't work for the Denver Fire Department so I have not come in contact with DPD as of yet. But have heard the same thing. Having my CHP, my department issued Badge and ID with CCW privileges should cover all my bases.

Congrats on the permit. Arizona was very fast. Completed class on Saturday, mailed the app on Sunday, got the permit the following Saturday.
That was January '07. Now I'm practicing going from Concealed to "ready to fire" as quick as possible.

Just wondering, why is the ritualistic trip to wally world for nachos?

Congrats on the speed of your permit.
Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

There's a couple of threads on it floating around (one even has a tactical map for you to use to plot your route through Wallyworld).

As I've seen it explained (I don't have my permit yet, so I haven't been initiated into the secret club). Its because of the sheer quantity of people in WM, to help you get used to being in public and get over the 'OMG! everyone is staring at me and can totally see my gun' feelings a bit quicker.

The whole WW deal is a CombatCarry (soon to be DefensiveCarry) thing!

Natchos were somehow the main item of eating choice (celebratory perhaps!) .. but for some a quick spin into Mickey D's will do

The main thing has been the first trip out to somewhere full of people - and so WW got the vote! All the while folks attempting (hopefully) to see if they can avoid adjustments etc!

Congratulations! It took over 185 days for my Indiana Lifetime License to be processed. I am glad that is over, unless they change the law in my "lifetime".

The WW thing gets you used to lots of people and crowds. Everyone shows up at WW. If they made it to town they'll drop by WW just to see if they know someone there. lol You get to dodge through the people that stop to chat in the lanes. By the time you've made several circuits around and through the place you've avoided bumping into people and found out sometimes you must stoop down instead of bending over to stay concealed. But mostly you'll find out that people don't notice you if you just go about your business as always. And don't forget the Snickers bar.
