    Surprising airport experience

So I have to pick my Father up at the Airport next week.I emailed them to ask about ccw in the airport..not only did they get back the same day,I was surprised at the tone of the email...no freaking out, just saying that it's ok everywhere but at the gates and "secure areas".....bagage and the open areas are ok.Pleasantly surprised.Go figure.....of course I saved the email in case I end up spread eagle on the airport floor w/ a boot on my neck...

    Holy cow!

I'm very surprised considering NY's stance on guns in any capacity.
Gun Control means never having to say "I missed you."

Other than NYC, the rest of the state seems to be pretty OK on many gun issues.

yep, there really aren't many off limits places (outside of NYC) thankfully. Still waiting on my permit though.
I used to carry in the NH airports all the time...just as long as you don't try to go into the secure area then you don't get the boot-in-neck treatment!

Yeah, there seems to be a misconception that NY State is completly gun-unfriendly. That really isn't the case, the city excluded most of the rest of the State isn't horrible (though there are places even in Up-State that might as well be NYC).

    Same here in KY.
