Is it just me or has anyone else noticed John Brownings best design has the 911 designation in it? 1911=1st-911? 1911A1=1st-911 always 1st responder. Okay, I admit it, I'm twisted and see things differently. LOL![]()

Yeah kind of like dialing 911 now your not sure if they'll be there in time. 1911 your not sure if its going to stove pipe or malfunction. HEHEHEHEHEHEH Dont' Hit me
Don't worry just stirring the Pot!!!
Don't worry I'll add a 1911 to the collection after one of my plastic guns breaks.
O crap that may not be till my grand children's grand children are dead.
No but seriously I actually am looking at a Taurus 1911 or a S/A gun just to have one. There pretty sweet just I don't want to have to program myself for a new trigger.
You do not fight like you train nor will you rise to the occasion, but rather default to the highest level you have mastered....Officer B. Harnish.

Its not about guns..........Its about Freedom!
Guess you could say a lot of us here use 1911 , then call 911. Rob, go sit in the corner and thing of what you said.![]()

I won't hit you. I'm afraid you might like that sort of thing. LOL
In all my time in the service I've never had FTF or stovepipe when I needed it. I have had it do both in training but the clearing drill is fast and simple. Sorta like me only I'm slow and simple.
Of course my EDC is a 220, 226 and a compact 1911 as my 2nd bug.

When I'm practicing on private property, I'll sometimes put the Gov't Model and the PT-99 side by side, loaded and chambered; Colt in condition 1, Taurus in condition 2, and then practice grabbing one without looking and firing 2-3 shots at about a 10yd target. It doesn't take long before the difference between DA/SA and SA only matters less than the recoil difference between 9mm and .45ACP.
