Talking Inaugural trip to Wally World!!

On a beautiful day in Colorful Colorado I made my inaugural trip to Wally World. Went with the wife carrying my Glock 23 in a OWB Ross Leather Yaqui M9S. I was having a little trouble deciding on using Yaqui, but got some good info from you folks.

You can see on the thread below.

Still felt a bit nervous knowing that I was armed and it did not help me that my wife was whispering to me the whole time I can so see your gun. Knowing that the only reason she could see it was because she was looking for it.

We made a complete lap around the store, Picked out my daughters first bicycle off the top rack with confidence that no one could see my weapon, and finished out my trip with new cover polo. Sorry guys, No nachos or Mc Ds for us, we were heading home for a BBQ.

All in all a good trip made it back to the car with success and felt more confident.

I want to thank everyone involved with the site. As a beginner it helped me be a better concealed weapon carrier.

Even if your wife had not been there you probably would have heard that voice. It seems to happen on your first trip shopping armed. Thats why the Wally World trip is so important, so you learn that no one is really paying attention. Congrats on the sucessfull trip.

Hey Wally World got some pretty decent prices on WWB 9mm, in Ft Worth it was running $8+.

Always buy something when I'm there.

It takes a while to get over the "everyone knows I have a gun"thing. Now if some one even asked me I'd probably say no.Most people ,though are in their own world and wouldn't see it even if you open carried.WE notice ,but most don't.
The only thing I can compare it too is being left handed,I notice lefties all the time....my wife who is right handed, never notices.

    Nacho's and BBQ

That 'lil voice.....that trip it was your wife's.....won't ever leave you alone. Rather, I think, it'll go from "everyone sees' to "what's going on" around you. The responsability of your decision to carry will naturally begin to raise your awareness of everything around you....situational awareness.

Great job on making it around Wally's place!

Stay safe and check your six often!

I went to Wally World my first day. Must be some right of passage. That voice was strong with me also. Then I got the nervous thing when an LEO was in the vicinity. It was hard to get used to the idea that what I was doing was legal. Congrats,

Good job and congrats! Let us know if you stick with the yaqui holster or decide to move to something else..........

My first time out, I carried to a movie theatre. I felt a little odd, nothing to the extreme. Now I feel strange if out and about and not armed.......... Which is rare.
