Saw someone at walmart with a Got Glock? T-shirt
I was at walmart yesterday with my wife. We both conceal carry. I had my XD45 compact and she had her Bersa .380.
We saw this young man with his young wife and small child. He had a T-shirt on that said "Got Glock?". So naturally my wife and I look the guy over as we pass him. His T-shirt was tight and tucked in. So we were guessing he didn't have a gun in a tuckable holster.
We then started talking about this. If the guy wasn't carrying then it might be foolish to have a gun T-shirt on and no gun.
If he had a gun, it would be foolish to advertise it. People will naturally see the shirt and look him over to see if they can find the gun.
Both my wife and I felt that T-shirts like this should be left to wear at the range or at places where you will have your gun out and people would know anyway.
What do you folks think?

I agree 100%. That's rather foolish for all the reasons you stated.

Not my thing, I wouldn't do it.
But I can't see 1/2 the people even noticing his shirt unless it has flashing lights. People are too wrapped up in themselves to see it. And most of those who do notice probably aren't even thinking that someone might actually be carrying a gun.

Don't mean nothing; no dif than a NRA Ball cap or a civ wearing a USMC t-shirt. Or me wearing a US Army T-shirt that one of our sons gave me.

It's not those with their heads down that are the threat. The folks that are scoping for opportunities will certainly see the advertising, thus any surprise factor will have been tossed right out the window. Any attack would then be able to be swift and sure.

I wear a Hornady TAP ammo hat sometimes, and I have an XD hat as well. I don't think many people notice, and I don't really care if they do.

I might wear a shirt like that if I WASN'T carrying... but never if I was. That's simply asking for it.

I bought a baseball cap that just has an XD on the front. Its very subtle and since the XD line doesn't have any kind of recognition compared to Glock I would expect very few people to recognize the brand.
Springfield also has some very aggressive slogans for shirts and hats that I wouldn't wear in public even if they were given to me. And I'm not a good enough shooter to wear them at the range either.

I don't understand why you guys look at it that way....its just a shirt, he probably liked it or even owns a Glock, who cares if he's carrying or not?....So I guess that means anytime I wear my H&K shirt wheather or not I'm carrying, I'm being foolish? I own an HK USP and I just like the shirt. Hmm...interesting.

I think that just the logo on a hat is ok or even a small one on the front or a shirt. That "bring enough gun" slogan is too much for public wear.

BG's care. To such people, advertising gives away the element of surprise. To a CCW, that's bad.
