    How long in VA?

For all you guys with your CHL in VA. How long did it take you to get your permit? Did it come in under the 45 day max? I'm no where near my 45 days yet but it feels like it's been forever!!

It took 15 total days from the day I handed in my paperwork and money to the city clerks office.

It took three days from when I submitted the application to when I received my permit. This was in King George and no finger prints were required.

Clarke County was about 3.5 weeks. Fingerprints were required. Loudoun is faster and no fingerprints.

I originally got mine in FFX Co. in 30 days. I just renewed in Clarke County recently and it took 26 days. BTW - the Renewals in Clarke don't need Fingerprints.

Finger prints are required here in Newport News and I'm only at 19 days now. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will show up soon. Especially since my wife keeps getting my hopes up, telling me that it might be in the mail. :) Thanks for the reply's. It's always interesting to see how experiences are for others. I can't wait to make my Wal-Mart trip! :-D

2 weeks (alexandria) and only becuase they couldn't read my messy handwriting, instead of b.s. paper back and forth, they called me up on the phone, had me verify my height & weight (the two messy #'s) and said it'd be sent out that day (friday). I got it the next day by normal stamp mail. > )

    Prince William here.

Applied on May 7. Still waiting, hopefully it will be here before the end of the week or next week.

I know the feeling though. Seems like I applied a long time ago.

Hanover County was around 3 weeks I think. New Kent took what felt like over a month. Pulling both from memory. I have to renew in the next couple of months.

I rembember because I was approaching day 43 and it still hadn't shown up.

Mine took 3 weeks (Loudoun) but there was a holiday weekend included that probably slowed things down.
