Question what kind of jungle do you live in?

i was just wondering where the majority of us live, rural or urban.
i live in the backwoods of the green mountains. it's just natural for me to step out the backdoor and practice shooting, the firearm lifestyle is well accepted in my community also.
what's it like where you live?

scranton is a pretty suburban town. pennsylvania, with the exception of philly, is pretty gun friendly. most of the guys i work with carry daily, and we have a pretty good variety of gun shops, from national chains like gander mountain to mom & pop stores.

mmmm, chocolate! i live just out side c. ray nagin's city. this is a relatively quiet area compared to just 5-10 miles up the road. the "atmosphere" is purely dependent upon the officer you encounter, but the civilians generally know to leave well enough alone.

I suspect you and I know the same areas. My father grew up in Craftsbury and my mother right near Joes Pond. Used to have relatives in Island Pond when I was a little kid but they're gone now. My grandmother was a direct descendant of one of the founders of Ryegate. I grew up in Jericho Center which isn't the NEK I know but in those days we had more cows than people. Shot rifle practice right off the front of the house. Now I'm stuck in a large urban environment untill I can flee all this economically.

Small NC town of around 4200. Nearest "big" city is Fayetteville, about 40 miles away. Pretty gun friendly around here.

Urban but close to the Everglades. Quiet by Miami standards but that doesn't mean the critters won't attack.

Small town in PA. (about 2000 people), I'd guess 90% of
households own a gun. ( very conservative politically )

I have to drive a couple miles to shoot though.

Right in the middle of a very large metropolitan area. Full of all types of opinions and points of view. Being such a large city there are a lot of folks that think "guns are bad", but we seem to have a very large group of supporters as well.

With 6 million neighbors it is Very Urban.

Suburban. But at one time I could disappear into the woods that backed up to the house and shoot. Now I'd be in someone's living room!
