Hope this will mean FL non-res will be valid .. I have for a long time rued the lack of CCW cover available in WV.

It'd mean that while briefly disarming thru MD I am then good to go thru WV and VA.

I would think that they would. As they are also talking about revamping the BG check so other states will join in.

Oh crap - well thx John - my pleasure was misplaced and short lived! I guess PA is not included so far because we have negligable requirement for training - well not mandated anyways.

Yeah, I'm not happy about it either, I've got the FL package ready to go in finger prints and all, I just gotta get off my butt and get it mailed out.

I was going to get a FL NR license, but after evaluating the cost vs the states that I would most likely ever travel in, New Hampshire makes a LOT more sense.

NH pretty much covers all eastern states where Ohio does not have reciprocity plus it is only $20.

I had posted about this several months ago when it was announced the AG would be negotiating the agreements from now on, instead of the gov. Only good things can come.

I'm suprised MI wasn't on the list. They have a reciprocity agreement with every other state that offers reciprocity. Maybe they will shortly

Now if we could just get SC...then travel in the Southeast would be so much easier...

    Stay armed...in the Southeast...stay safe!

“West Virginians with valid concealed handgun permits are allowed to carry concealed handguns in KY, VA, NC, OH, FL and SD pursuant to existing and new reciprocity agreements. We are currently in active discussion with other states. We have received recognition by Michigan, Montana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Vermont, but we do not have a reciprocity agreement with the states,” stated Attorney General Darrell McGraw.

He missed one; Your West Virginia permit is good in Kansas.

I'm hearing that Ohio has still not announced that it will accept WV ccw permits. Perhaps WV residents should be cautious about carrying there til we get confirmation from the OH authorities that our permits will indeed be legal in OH??!! Please update me if anyone has concrete info!
