I am a fan of the Serpa. I even recommend them to students. I like the retention feature and feel it is a very intutive feature that puts your finger correctly along the frame when drawn.
That being said, if not used properly, there can potentially be a big problem. The gun has to come straight up out of the holster, if you try to cant the gun forward, you finger is in a bad place, not along the frame, but possibly on the trigger.
Also, if it is for a Glock, make sure you don't have any modifications like a lazer guide-rod where the on/off switch is on the slide lock/take down lever. It could provide enough friction in the holster that you have to cant it forward to get the gun out, once again putting the finger where is shouldn't be.
Hope this helps.
