Got my Pennsylvania NR License to Carry Today
App went into the mail on June 5. License issued June 8. Envelope postmarked June 11. In my mailbox June 14. That is what I call a quick turn around. I may have cheated a little though. Besides a copy of my Alabama DL and a copy of my Alabama Pistol Permit I also included a copy of my FFL. I figured that would do more good than them calling either of the references I put on the app. They don't know either one of them, but they do know the initials ATF which means I have had a background check by the FBI. Whatever, I have it and I don't have to worry about whether my New Hampshire NR permit is good in PA. I am covered in every state we will go through this summer except Maryland. On I-81 that looks to be a distance of less than 20 miles. Since we will be in a van and I won't be driving the firearms will be unloaded while rolling through the last mile of WV and the pistols put in a Center of Mass in-car gun safe. The ammo will be in another locked container behind the back seat. When we cross into PA everything comes back out.

I wish Oklahoma moved that fast. I'm on day 64 right now.

I second QK's comment.
Glad it came so fast but it seems most folks do get them pretty darned quick.

Glad to hear the quick turnarounds are still occurring. I sent my application off earlier this week after seeing the announcement that some PA officials might not be recognizing the NH Non-Res license any longer.
